What is the style of your wedding films? I focus on filming in an unobtrusive, candid manner with a cinematic flair. The wedding is a celebration and my editing style tends to lean into that with fun/upbeat music and a quick editing pace. I also offer multiple edit options so you can choose the format that works for you. Options like the highlight video and mini film are for couples looking for a more "movie-like" approach. And for the traditional wedding lovers, I offer a full documentary style edit so you can have all the events of your day cut in full. I highly recommend viewing some samples of my work to visualize my filming style.
Do you have any assistants? All of my wedding packages include myself as the primary filmmaker. If a couple purchases a mini film or documentary edit, an assistant filmmaker is automatically included. An assistant allows us to capture multiple angles of your ceremony and reception which adds to the seamless nature of the final edit.
How much do your packages cost? A base filming/editing package starts at $2,750 for 6 hours of coverage with 1 filmmaker(myself) & a highlight video. The actual cost varies on the location of your wedding as well as how much time you need us for.
What is the turnaround time for the edited videos? Highlight videos take 30 business days to complete, the 8-10 minute mini film takes 90 business days & the 30-40 minute documentary edit takes 120 business days. Most of the work on your film happens after the wedding in the editing process.
What is the timeline to pay for your services? The cost of your wedding film is split into 2 payments. The first is a retainer of $750 that books the date of your wedding. The second is due at least 2 weeks prior to the wedding.
How is audio captured? There are multiple ways in which audio is captured. I corrdinate with DJ's & Bands to record feeds directly from their microphones when in use. I also use lav mics directly on persons & podiums during main events such as the wedding ceremony.
